Baby Yoda Slider
Objective: Teach content through an interactive slider
Background
This project was thanks to an Articulate e-learning heroes challenge (#262). The task was to create a Stars Wars themed template. I used Adobe Illustrator to create the vector illustrations and Articulate Storyline 360 to create the final project.
The Challenge
I was watching the Mandalorian at the time, so I knew I had to include "baby Yoda" in this e-learning challenge. I also wanted to experiment with sliders, and decided delivering content on nap times would work well baby Yoda. Not only did I want the slider to convey the nap times, but I wanted a fun illustration that changed with each click on the slider. I obtained nap time information from the website "What to Expect" and then mapped out the corresponding illustrations I wanted. My main challenge was creating subtle changes between the vectors that would make baby Yoda appear as if he (it?) was slowly becoming more awake. I chose Adobe Illustrator to make five vectors, a program I use often for my illustrations. Lastly, I created a unified look by including a Star Wars-esque font and the slider was complete.
